On this page we post information about the various awards, grants, donations and accreditation we have earned as an organisation, we’ll also tell you about the partners and associates that we work with on a regular basis.
When the nursery moved into the Annex building in 2010 it was allocated funding from English Partnerships and the Lottery Grant to purchase the new purpose built premises. However in 2018 issues with the premises started to show, and due to the nursery been a charity we did not have the funds to complete the necessary work. We applied for a second National Lottery Grant, and in August 2018 we were lucky enough to be allocated funding of £10,000. The nursery were able to match the amount received and work started on refurbishing and replacing the nursery flooring. When the original floor covering was removed the damage underneath was worse than originally expected, this meant that we had to turn to local businesses, such as BnT Cabins and Containers, to help us find solutions to the issues that were found. The problems with the floor meant that everything in the rooms had to be removed, including the sink units needing to be ripped out in each room. After a discussion with our local Howdens of Garforth they offered to support us by providing us with 3 matching sink units, they were also able to deliver them free of charge.
We also work closely with LocalGiving and easyfundraising as well as Allerton Bywater Parish Council.
Allerton Bywater Community Partnerships also run regular fundraising events alongside ABC Daycare and Ozone. Recently they help hold a Community Halloween Party which 95 children attended alongside their family members, this raised £303.12 which was added to the budget for the nursery modernisation.
